The following Terms of the Competition are to be read in conjunction with
CCWGA General Terms of the Competition.
Open to all amateur Members (with GA handicaps) of golf clubs affiliated with CCWGA who have won their Club Division Brooch for the year.
For a player belonging to 2 or more Clubs she may compete at each Club but can only represent one club in a Charity Day team.
The competition of the day is STABLEFORD and there are two events run in conjunction.
1. The Stableford Brooch Play-off.
2. Total of each Clubs Team score (Charity Day Team of 12)
Note: All players shall compete on their Current Handicap.
: Caddies are not permitted
STABLEFORD BROOCH PLAY-OFF - TERMS OF THE COMPETITION
The competition shall consist of five (5) stableford rounds of 18 holes, which are determined by each Club and played between February and July.
Handicap Divisions for the Stableford Brooch are determined by the player’s G.A. Handicap on the first round they play and are:
Div 1 - GA Plus to 20
Div 2 - GA 20.1 to 29
Div 3 - GA 29.1 to 54 (Any player selected with a GA above 45 will play off a daily handicap of 45)
Once a Player has commenced in her relevant division, she shall remain in that Division for the life of the competition. All scores returned irrespective of handicap changes, shall count towards the players aggregate.
A club MAY NOT SUBSTITUTE Stableford Brooch winners who are unable to compete on the day. Note maximum daily handicap is 45. Any player selected with a GA above 45 will play off a daily handicap of 45.
The winner of each Division shall be the competitor who returns the highest aggregate score of her best 3 stableford rounds from 5 District Brooch rounds played that season.
CHARITY DAY TEAM EVENT- TERMS OF THE COMPETITION
Each Club must program a “CHARITY DAY QUALIFYING ROUND” Stableford event between February and July.
The Charity Day Team comprises of twelve (12) players. The Stableford Brooch winners in each Division (3 players) and the 9 best stableford scores submitted OTF on the Clubs designated Charity Day Qualifying Round. If qualifying players are unavailable a Club may substitute players for the Charity Day Team.
Please note: A computer printout of the day’s results from your club qualifying should be sent with entries.
A player may enter the qualifying rounds at any Club of which she is a member but may only represent one club as a player in their team. Maximum daily handicap of 45.
