CCWGA v HRDGA
Played at The Vintage – Wednesday 22 June 2022
The Hunter River Committee put on an awesome day even organising crisp but sensational weather!
There were two teams of 16 competing in the annual event which has been now running for seven years. The CCWGA has dominated for six years but this year the HRDWGA was successful with a 9 to 7 win from the Central Coast. All players enjoyed the challenge of the course with the camaraderie and banter between players great fun…. Thank you to all our players for a well fought battle, well done.
The Vintage is one of the most difficult courses in NSW with water and bunkers everywhere to catch the wayward shot. The greens played with average speed although were difficult to read for players who were unfamiliar with the course.
Thank you to the Hunter Committee for a well-run event, having all players at the 19th for Presentation by 3.00pm. A big thank you to Jude Tarran, the CCWGA Captain for organising and encouraging our team. Also in attendance on the day was our President, Gay Saines who supplied plenty of team support throughout the day which was appreciated by all.
Next year the match play event will be held on the Central Coast, so we are hoping for home team win in 2023….
