The Gwen Thompson Shield was held on Monday 19 September at Magenta Shores. It was a hotly contested event with five 2BBB pairs from each of the CCWGA District Clubs competing.

The day was bright and sunny was a slight breeze which contributed to the speed of the greens. The flag positions were diabolical which caught most players of guard, if you were able to contours the greens the fairway bunkers were still there to catch the stray shot.

The well deserving winners were Magenta winning the day with a score 122pts which was a good lead from Runner's up Toukley, scoring 118. click here for full results

Thank you to the Magenta girls for suppling the players with a delicious morning tea it was well received by all. The CCWGA Committee had a long day commencing at 7.30am and their contribution was much appreciated by all.
